Reflections on data systems, narrative game analyses, and honest moments from everyday life.
A deliberately biased review of Falcom's remake, written by someone who loves this world too much to be trusted. 70+ hours on Easy first, one full clear, and a 10/10 I refuse to apologize for.
I got tired of phone photos and wiki tabs to get through RPG dialogue choices, so I taught my pi coding agent to read my game window — shipped as a pi package, with no UI to build.
I bought a SimplyKIT shoecare package on Tokopedia for around Rp100.000 with zero expectations, cleaned one dirty shoe with the soap and the other with the foam, and documented exactly what came off and what did not.
I forgot how wide the data-stack spectrum really is. Coming from a lead role where I designed a Debezium + Kafka warehouse with a UI-first, open-source stack, joining a new fintech in September as an individual contributor instead of a lead — and finding hand-rolled Python CDC, schema drift, and a ClickHouse that never expires — was a genuine shock. A blunt reflection on how much 'best practice' is actually just local.
How a gap month between contracts turned into md2pdf, a ~3 MB Go CLI that compiles my Markdown resume into clean, print-ready A4 PDFs I can actually submit to ATS-driven job applications.
Data engineering walkthroughs, deep dives into game worlds & lore, and candid life shorts.
